We live in Doha and it is quite a boring place unless you do some interesting stuff (but then there are not that many interesting things to do, unless you can afford the local pass time - 'recreational shopping' 
)
Due to some nice friends we recently celebrated 'Canadian Thanksgiving', and stuffed ourselves to the hilt with really excellent cuisine. We even had some left-overs for the next day and it was like having the same party all over again!
The weather is also improving as Winter approaches. That will allow us a little bit more freedom with outside activities and we are looking forward to sitting outside next to a barbecue with a nice sheesha, wine and good company.
