Laptop, HP Pavilion any good? Empty Laptop, HP Pavilion any good?

Post by PhotoMaker 13th March 2009, 20:33

In need for a update on my current Laptop. But....I have an outstanding standalone PC @ home (primary workstation) therefore I don't want to spend too much. (budget around Q4000). Notebook must handle Capture-1 RAW converter and Adobe Photoshop CS3 easily. I want to use this notebook for travelling as well.

HP Pavilion DV5 was suggested: Intel core 2, P7450, 2.13 GHz, 3GB RAM, 15.4" WXGA 1366x768 resolution, 320GB HDD, Ge Force 9200GS 512 MB with Vista. ????

Sounds good. CS3 is quite resource intensive so your 2 core CPU and 3GB RAM will do the trick. HP is also quite OK as far as brand is concerned. Go for it!
